About Vita Washington
With an extensive professional history including roles at the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the American College of Cardiology, and Social & Scientific Systems, Vita has helped medical societies and other public health nonprofits translate science into accurate and peer-review ready clinical and advocacy content that aligns with an organization's strategic goals.
Employing a broad communications lens, she partners cross-functionally with boards, medical committees and staff, to tailor deliverables to diverse audiences ranging from clinicians to academicians to patients.
Vita’s academic credentials include an MS in Science Administration, and continuing education in project management, and diversity, equity and inclusion.
An active volunteer, she has served in the following leadership positions:
- Former President of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the American Medical Writers Association
- Founding board member of Fridays at 4
